Carousel Slide Prep

There are two basic types of carousels. The Sawyer type holds 100 slides and, if you have this type of carousel, someone has to take the slides out and get them into stacks. That is because the slides are "stuck" in the carousel. They are hard to get out as compared to the Kodak carousels. This is because the projector for this type of carousel had the"reel" turned on it's side rather than sitting flat on the top of the projector. It is really more like a "Ferris Wheel" than a "Carousel". If we have to take them out, prior to scanning, we charge a small fee for the added work.

Find the slides that are oriented as "portraits" and rotate them so they are in the "landscape" position. In the slide, below, someone had turned the camera sideways to take a "portrait" oriented picture. They also turned the slide in the carousel so that the slide would project correctly. These slides need to be rotated so ALL slides in the carousel are in the "landscape" orientation. Don't worry: we will rotate your IMAGES to view correctly, after scanning.
